Don't Do SEOGoogle’s algorithm is designed to make the most relevant, valuable, remarkable content rise to the top of the results. They are constantly searching for ways to find and demote those exploiting their algorithm.

Don’t focus on the SEO, just create great content. Great content is highly sharable and Google is constantly trying to promote it. SEO content is often uninteresting, unsharable and Google is constantly trying to demote it. Which one would you rather be creating?

Of course you should follow the optimization basics (keywords, descriptions, h-tags, etc.). Also pay attention to how you can optimize better, especially for content that rises to the top, but be sure to spend at least 80% of your effort/budget creating great content.
